How many people have covered “Crazy in Love” (originally by Beyoncé)? At Starbucks yesterday I heard a very pretty cover with acoustic guitar and a man and woman singing. So on to the Internet I go, and apparently Snow Patrol AND Switchfoot have covered this song. Neither was the version I heard at the coffee shop (which turned out to be by The Magic Numbers), and in my opinion, neither is as good.
And how did this happen? I would think that Beyoncé or someone associated with her still owns the copyright to the song, so did they all of a sudden send it to a number of artists and say, “Do something with this”?
By the way, there was a recent Dinosaur Comics on this precise topic! Wow, it’s like I do nothing but go on the internet all day!
