Inconvenience

UCI’s public transportation system

When will UCI *finally* get a decent shuttle system?! There’s only one route that goes to most of campus, and it’s one-way, so if I wanted to ride to a direction just counter-clockwise of me, I would have to ride all the way around the circle before I could get off. And it’s not like it’s all that convenient, because there aren’t ANY stops near my apartment complex.

So today, I was in a big hurry to get home after my classes ended, because I needed to make my counseling appointment. Well, it was raining (no complaints about that, Lord knows we need it) so I couldn’t ride my bike back. I was thinking of taking the shuttle, but knowing that it takes such a long time to get anywhere, I opted to walk. Took me thirty freakin minutes in the rain — had to skip lunch and go straight to my appointment. But it’s not like it would have been any faster on the shuttle.

At least they are converting to biodiesel fuel.
